I have a tooth that is not broken though, only a little chipped. How much will it cost to repair it?
Thank You.

Hello, Ingriz –

The cost to do a repair varies a lot – the more complicated, the more expensive. If it is truly a small project, it can cost as little as $100 to do a small repair. There are lots of other factors, however, that can change things drastically. Oftentimes an anterior tooth is chipped because of simple factors, but there can be some surprises. If you have a heavy bite, or you are a protrusive bruxer
(http://www.frankspear.com/content/aeid/AEID_V2N4_Mandibular_Incisor_Intrusion.pdf) there are times that there is just not enough room to repair a tooth. Similarly, if there is undermining decay, the project can be bigger than you realize. If there is old trauma that caused the chip, there can be an underlying endodontic (root canal) problem….lots of possibilities – even the possibility of orthodontic treatment to move teeth into better locations.

Many people assume that they are the easy case, but there are a lot of things to consider. This is why we are really unable to quote you definite fees – there are just too many factors that can affect the treatment. I recommend that you call and come in for an examination. That is the only way we can fairly and accurately give you a cost estimate.
